Three Brick Awards for Shoemakers Museum
Shoemakers Museum was declared winner in three different categories at the 50th annual Brick Awards.
After claiming the Public and Sustainability Awards, the project won the prestigious Supreme Award, a prize that recognises outstanding excellence in brick design, craftsmanship and construction. We are proud to have worked alongside Purcell Architects to bring this project to life from design all the way to construction.

The Shoemakers Museum brings together delightful brickwork, a strong response to the site’s 200-year history and collection, and a thoughtful approach to sustainability. Delivered within a challenging budget and programme, it demonstrates impressive craftsmanship alongside carefully considered material choices, including locally sourced brick and reclaimed stone. The result is a distinctive and accomplished building in which heritage, material quality and environmental responsibility are successfully brought together.Brick Awards Judges
