Bath Spa University - The Gardens

A home away from home
Set around a large “courtyard” to foster a student community, The Gardens at Bath Spa University offer terraced townhouses accommodating ten students per house for a total of 571 students. Each house provides a communal kitchen and lounge while each room is equipped with an en-suite bathroom.
We worked with the University from inception to completion to develop a full modular build that met a 15-month construction window.

Solid foundations
The buildings utilised precast concrete and steel frames, timber sandwich panels and GRP bathroom pods. To deliver residences of the highest standard, we both actively engaged with the contractor and provided a separate quality assurance role to the client.

Works across the board
We also delivered a new biomass energy centre, new buildings for the Estates maintenance team, and carried out significant civil engineering works to provide a link road, large car park, surface water attenuation and soakaway drainage, along with a foul water pumping station.
