Stephen Swinbank

Associate CEng, BEng (Hons), MICE

After graduating from The University of Southampton in Civil Engineering in 1998, Steve worked for consultants Posford Duvivier before joining Mann Williams in 2000 and becoming a Chartered Civil Engineer and Associate in 2006.

During his time at Mann Williams, Steve has developed a specialism in building conservation and has built an impressive portfolio of work on historic buildings and structures. These projects include sympathetic restorations of listed buildings, along with those requiring sensitive structural alteration or extension

Steve is particularly proud of his extensive work at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire as their Masterplan Engineer, providing expertise for the restoration and upgrading of this world-renowned Grade I listed stately home.

For the past five years, he has been a guest lecturer for the Conservation of Historic Buildings MSc course at The University of Bath.
